I made these snack cups for me and Brady today, and they were a hit! The starfruit is a little tart, so we nibbled on them and then loaded up on grapes. The real star here is not the starfruit, though. It’s the chia seeds!
Chia seeds are loaded with healthy omega-3 fats, which are SO important for growing baby brains. The brain and nervous system relies on these fats, but the body doesn’t make much of its own. Chia also has great protein, fiber and calcium.
- Whole-milk Greek yogurt
- Starfruit (or any fruit)
- Chia seeds
- Stir away!
Chia seeds easily stir into yogurt and don’t alter the taste. You can also add them to oatmeal, smoothies, baked bread and homemade popsicles. Start ’em early so your kids get used to the added texture!
